A Spell in Dorset

I'm now safely at my sister's and have enjoyed a great xmas. I have access to a computer but at the moment I still don't feel like doing much blogging. I hope to get a council flat in Durham near my mother and when I have settled in I will be able to do what I want when I want. I'm looking forward to that very much. My family have all been wonderful but I can't wait to be able to make all my own decisions, eat what I want when I want and go out when I like. Most of all, I will be able to have visitors and friends. These are all things that have been difficult with a possessive and drunk husband.
I haven't heard anything about him or from him since I left Australia and am torn between needing to know he's alright and not wanting to contact him in case I get another barrage of verbal abuse. Time, distance and family are all helping me and I just hope someone is helping him as much.
Cheers for now Gillian

Moving On

It's been the worst three weeks of my life but I am now at a friend's place awaiting a flight to England next Saturday. Alcohol is to blame. I've tried my best for years but can't cope with the alcoholic rages any more so now he must try to get sober without me.
Thankyou all for your support and messages.
I'll be staying with my sister in Dorset while I work out what to do next. I'll keep in touch from there.
Cheers Gillian
